  • AI-powered laptops, dual-screen systems, and AR glasses take center stage
  • New collaborations blend gaming hardware with storytelling and culture

ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) is using CES 2026, held Jan. 6–9 in Las Vegas, to underline how gaming innovation is no longer just about raw power, but about redefining how gamers and creators play, build, and express themselves.

At its “Dare to Innovate” virtual event, ROG showcased next-generation systems and breakthrough technologies designed to blur the line between gaming, content creation, and immersive digital experiences

Why it matters

Gaming hardware is evolving into a platform for creativity, AI-driven workflows, and cultural expression. ROG’s latest lineup signals how future devices will serve both competitive gamers and professional creators without compromise.

The big picture

ROG’s announcements span laptops, desktops, displays, and peripherals, with a strong emphasis on AI acceleration, immersive visuals, and experimental form factors.

The company said in a press release on Jan. 6, 2026 that it framed the showcase as both a celebration of its 20-year legacy and a preview of where gaming ecosystems are heading next.

Driving innovation

At the core are AI-ready systems such as the Zephyrus G14 and G16 laptops, which combine next-generation processors, advanced GPUs, and on-device AI capabilities.

These features are positioned to speed up gaming performance while also enhancing creative tasks like video editing, streaming, and AI-assisted workflows.

ROG also raised the bar with the Zephyrus Duo, a dual-screen gaming laptop that targets streamers and creators who need multitasking flexibility without sacrificing performance.

Dual high-refresh OLED displays enable simultaneous gameplay, editing, and live production in a single portable system.

Where gaming meets culture

One of the most distinctive moves is ROG’s collaboration with Kojima Productions. The Flow Z13-KJP and matching peripherals fuse high-performance hardware with iconic design, turning gaming devices into collectible creative tools.

The partnership highlights how gaming brands are increasingly intersecting with art, storytelling, and fan culture.

Immersion as a frontier

ROG’s push into spatial and visual technology was reinforced by the introduction of AR gaming glasses and next-generation OLED monitors.

High refresh rates, ultra-low latency, and new panel technologies aim to deliver competitive advantages while deepening immersion for cinematic gaming and creation.

What’s next

ROG’s CES 2026 showcase suggests the future of gaming hardware will be defined by versatility. Devices are no longer built solely for play, but for creation, customization, and self-expression.

For gamers and creators alike, ROG is betting that innovation comes from daring to merge performance with imagination. —Vanessa Hidalgo | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
