Asticom at 10: Scaling people-led, tech-driven outsourcing

Asticom Technology Inc., the tech-enabled outsourcing arm of Globe, is celebrating 10 years of empowering people and redefining what it means to be a modern outsourcing company in the Philippines.

What started in 2015 as a five-person shared staffing group is now a 4,000-strong, multi-service enterprise with impact across 40 industries—from fintech and telecom to logistics, infra, and digital platforms.

“Every milestone—whether in business, job creation, or tech advancement—has been made possible because of our dedicated people, strong partnerships, and valued customers who continue to believe in our mission,” said Mharicar Castillo-Reyes, Asticom president and CEO.

From staffing to full-service innovation

Asticom’s evolution reflects the rapid transformation of the outsourcing sector in the last decade. By 2019, the company expanded beyond staffing to offer managed services, IT and engineering solutions, and digital BPO. Today, it operates across five core pillars:

  • Talent outsourcing

  • Employee experience

  • Customer experience

  • Information technology

  • Engineering and infrastructure

This integrated service model gives clients scalable solutions while opening job opportunities nationwide.

Impact in numbers

  • 4,000+ employees deployed nationwide

  • 155,000+ fiber lines rolled out through its engineering arm

  • 100,000+ employees served through human capital solutions

  • 32,000 training hours logged via its “Best of Both Worlds” upskilling program

  • 30+ international partnerships, including firms from China, Japan, Singapore, and the U.S.

During the pandemic, Project Alalay helped displaced workers, creating 3,000 jobs in 2021 alone.

“From day one, we set out to create an organization that not only delivers business solutions but also fosters an environment where people can grow, make an impact, and thrive,” Castillo-Reyes said.

Growth highlights

  • 2021: Entered BPO, logistics, and engineering services

  • 2022: Acquired an HR tech firm from Ayala and launched its own tech center

  • 2023: Rolled out NXT, a proprietary talent and job-matching platform

  • 2024: Piloted Free-Space Optical (FSO) communication tech in partnership with Globe and Transcelestial

Asticom also realigned its business units to sharpen customer experience and operational efficiency.

Beyond the Philippines

Asticom is eyeing a broader APAC presence through its strategic partnership with GTI Corp., boosting reach in Japan, Singapore, and the U.S., with Australia and New Zealand as emerging targets.

Culture-driven, people-first

Asticom’s people-centric DNA continues to drive success:

  • Named a Great Place to Work®

  • Ranked among the Philippines’ Best Employers by Statista (2 years in a row)

  • Castillo-Reyes awarded People-Focused CEO of the Year

  • Offers wellness support through AC Health, including mental health and cancer care

What’s next

To mark the milestone, Asticom is hosting its first industry summit—Pulse 2025: B2B Innovation & Leadership Forum—on July 11, 2025. The event will spotlight people-led, tech-powered outsourcing aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

“As we step into the next decade, our focus remains on innovation, business excellence, and making a lasting impact on the industries and communities we serve,” said Castillo-Reyes. —Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
