Insider Spotlight
Tapping into this fresh start mindset, Australian home and lifestyle brand Anko hosted a Decluttering and Storage Workshop at Anko TriNoma, led by Christine Dychiao, the first Filipina KonMari®-certified consultant and founder of Tidying From Within.
Why it matters
The workshop reinforced that home organization does not have to be overwhelming or expensive. Instead of once-a-year overhauls, Dychiao emphasized sustainable, day-to-day systems that help households stay organized long term using practical storage solutions.
During the session, Dychiao demonstrated how Anko’s storage items can be maximized across bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and shared family spaces.
The event also marked Anko’s first community-focused activity of 2026, underscoring the brand’s commitment to supporting everyday Filipino living through accessible, well-designed home essentials.
Start where daily stress begins
Dychiao advised participants to focus first on areas that affect their daily routines, especially mornings.
“Start with the area that already overwhelms you. It could be your bedroom, your bathroom, or your closet. When that one space feels calmer, it changes the tone of your entire day,” she shared.
In bedrooms, Anko’s Bed Linen Boxes priced at P400 help keep spare sheets organized, while Linen-look Underbed Shoe Organizers at P490 make use of often-overlooked space without adding visual clutter.
Design matters in storage
Rather than relying on purely utilitarian containers, Dychiao highlighted the value of storage that blends naturally into a home’s aesthetic. Warm neutrals and textured finishes help organizing systems feel intentional rather than rigid.
Anko’s Linen Look Tapered Rectangle Basket at P440, 2 Tone Flat Felt Basket at P530, and Rectangle Boucle Basket with Stripe Lines at P440 were showcased as versatile options for bedrooms, bathrooms, and utility areas.
Visibility drives better habits
In kitchens, Dychiao encouraged balancing what is stored away with what remains visible to reduce waste and duplicate purchases.
Clear Rectangle Turntables at P530, Plastic Spinning Organizers at P250, and 2 Compartment Fridge Storage at P490 make everyday items easier to access, while a Fridge Deodorizer at P130 helps maintain freshness.
“These are small tools, but they make a big difference when used correctly,” Dychiao said.
The bottom line
The workshop reinforced that effective organizing supports both efficiency and well-being.
“When we cannot find what we need, or when we are surrounded by too much, our body responds with stress. Organizing creates space for calm.”
As Filipino households ease into 2026, Anko plans to continue hosting monthly workshops, offering practical guidance that families can adapt to their own lifestyles while keeping everyday living simple, organized, and affordable. —Ramon C. Nocon | Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
