Newly inducted Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) president Alfredo Panlilio on Wednesday unveiled the organization's priorities for 2025 during the 77th MAP Inaugural Meeting, with tackling corruption in the country the group’s top agenda.

With the theme "Management Excellence for a Progressive Philippines," he emphasized key thrusts aimed at addressing MAP members' top concerns, which include corruption, education, ease of doing business, and climate change.

In his address to the organization on Jan. 15, 2025, Panlilio said this year’s leadership will address the top seven concerns of MAP members for 2025 which were generated through a survey in the 4th quarter of last year.

The longtime MVP Group executive outlined an ambitious program for the MAP in 2025.

These are corruption, education, the economy, ease of doing business, climate change, cybersecurity, and dealing with local government units.

To address these issues, MAP will collaborate with government agencies, particularly the Anti-Red Tape Authority, and advocate for reforms to improve transparency and efficiency.

The new MAP president also outlined four strategic focus areas:

  • Member engagement: Strengthening participation through relevant discussions, regional engagements in Visayas and Mindanao, and virtual inclusivity to extend MAP’s influence nationwide.
  • Country competitiveness: Advocating for policy reforms to combat corruption, enhance ease of doing business, ensure food security, and attract investments to generate jobs.
  • ESG and shared prosperity: Promoting sustainable practices and ethical leadership while driving inclusive growth to support a resilient economy.
  • Investing in the youth: Continuing efforts against malnutrition and child stunting, and championing education and wellness initiatives to equip the next generation with competitive skills.
