BSU Students Win Hackathon with Blockchain Innovation

Students from Bulacan State University clinched the top prize at the third iTHINK Hackathon, a competition focused on blockchain technology advancements, organized by ISLA Camp (ICP HUB Philippines) during the IRCITE 2024.

The winning team, Open Soars, developed “Communitask,” a platform leveraging the Internet Computer Protocol (ICP) to link individuals with micro-job opportunities, demonstrating innovation in addressing job market gaps.

This hackathon emphasizes the role of blockchain in creating scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.

The event underscores the Philippines' burgeoning talent in Web3 development, aligning with ISLA Camp’s mission to transform Filipinos from technology users to creators, further positioning the country as a significant player in the global tech ecosystem.
