Insider Spotlight
The waiver took effect Aug. 1 and applies to both existing and new BizLink corporate clients. Businesses can use Pay Non-BPI to send payments to suppliers, service providers, employees and other beneficiaries through the PESONet network.
Why it matters
Removing the transfer charge could help companies trim recurring transaction expenses while streamlining routine payments. BPI said the initiative is part of its broader effort to help businesses operate more efficiently as the bank marks its 175th anniversary.
“BPI understands that every peso counts. By waiving PESONet transfer fees through BPI BizLink, we are helping our clients optimize their operations, lower transaction costs, and allow resources to further grow their business,” BPI head of institutional banking Louie Cruz said in a press statement.
The bigger picture
The BizLink waiver follows BPI’s permanent removal of InstaPay and PESONet fund transfer fees on July 1 across the BPI app, online banking, VYBE, BanKo and BizKo.
BPI said that earlier move was aligned with Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas Circular No. 1238, Series of 2026, which promotes reasonable, fair and market-based pricing for electronic fund transfers.
How it works
BizLink offers several payment options for corporate users. Pay Now supports immediate transactions, Pay On allows future-dated payments and Pay Every enables recurring transactions, helping businesses manage cash flow and automate regular disbursements.
Transfers between BPI accounts are also free through BizLink’s Pay BPI feature, giving corporate clients another no-cost option within the bank’s network.
What’s next
Businesses that want to enroll in BPI BizLink can coordinate with their relationship manager or contact the bank’s BizLink support channels during banking days.
The expanded fee waiver strengthens BPI’s push to lower the cost of digital payments for businesses while encouraging companies to move more disbursement activity to electronic banking channels. —Vanessa Hidalgo| Ed: Corrie S. Narisma
